I was inspired by Sophie Calle's work of the "Hotel Room" I was intrigued to choose a person to stalk and take pictures of but I rather felt uncomfortable because it seemed weird and I made it quite obvious to the person. So I then settled on photographing my favorite floor in the library. The library has become a student's second home because we find ourselves here often than we would like just to study, work on projects or study. Seats were moved from their original locations, stools and ladders as well. Students also like to walk around to stretch their legs and use the computers often. So the pictures give you an idea of what the last student that used the object or item for and I guess it just makes me wonder. Sophie Calle was intrigued by knowing what the residents in the hotels did by photographing the objects in the room in their original form without altering anything because they tell a story.
