For me, home isn't necessarily the place that I live. This photo was taken while visiting Puerto Rico, which is where most of my family lives. Although I am multiracial, I grew up in a "typical" Puerto Rican household and visited the island often throughout my childhood. I am able to appreciate that
this is the place of most of my family's history, and that if the events occurred here did not, I most likely would not have been born.
