• What is the subject of your image?
The subject of my images is me, and
only myself because I have found out through trail and error that to be the
best person you can possibly be you have to discover your self first. I
realized you have to find out who you are before you can help and deal with
others this takes time and multiple different experiences but eventually it
will happen.
• What is the content of your
image?
The content of my image is pictures
of me created and cut in such a way that it is an optical illusion.
• why did you make the choices that
led to the composition?
I really wanted to make something
different and that would stand out and I am a beginner at that isn’t very good
at painting or drawing so I decided to take more of an arts and crafts
direction and take that with the kind of art the amazes me the most illusions.
Due to the fact I love being in a state of shock.
• What do you think this image
conveys to the viewers?
People may view this and think I
have am very bipolar because I have many feeling all at once but that isn’t the
message I want to give off.
• What artists have influenced your
self portrait?
I really didn’t have any artists
that inspired me because I originally thought of the idea on my own of how I
can get all the face into one project then I decided that I could space them
out and decided to face them in a perpendicular formation to create the
artwork.
• What techniques have you used to
create your self portrait?
The only technique I used the
optical illusion technique to create the separate 4 face but the ability to see
all of them at the different times and the perfect angle.
• Why and how does this project
represent you?
This project represents me because
when I initially meet people I don’t really show them all side of me or give
them a glimpse into my emotions because it was how I was raised to be a tough
guy and boys don’t get sad or men don’t cry. Obviously this is not true because
in times of serious trouble or immense pain I will shed a tear because I am
human and I will be sad once a while if I am having a rough day but society has
built us to not show this on our sleeves and not show everyone how we are
feeling because we are men and we have to be strong. Also I created them at the
angle because when you first meet me it is similar to looking at my project
head on I don’t show you any of the emotions but once you get to know me and
I’m comfortable with you will see more and more different parts of me then
others. Also I realized that I left the project hollow that’s its not filled
and I found that it could represent how I feel inside when I am not sure what
to do if I don’t have someone there to show how I’m feeling or be able to speak
with because I guys for guys its different I really don’t just cry to anyone about
my problems because I can be judged or will be criticized.
